TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. Presentation of a valid RIDACARD entitles the cardholder to receive a free ticket of lower or equivalent value, for each Edinburgh Bus Tours ticket purchased; up to a maximum of two free tickets.
  2. The RIDACARD presented must hold a currently valid product.
  3. The RIDACARD must be presented at ticket purchase and upon initial boarding.
  4. Tickets must be purchased at the Lothian Buses Waverley Bridge Travelshop.
  5. The RIDACARD holder will be issued with a printed receipt which must then be exchanged for tour tickets with a ticket seller or driver within 24 hours of issue.
  6. Offer can be used for the following Edinburgh Bus Tours city tours:
    City Sightseeing Tour, Edinburgh Tour, Mac Tour, Majestic Tour & Edinburgh World Heritage Tour.
  7. The following Edinburgh Bus Tours products are excluded from the offer:
    Bus & Boat Tour, Grand24 Grand48, Grand48+ and Royal Edinburgh Ticket.
  8. Family Tickets are not included in the offer.
  9. Offer does not apply to Lothian Buses Junior or Scholar (to and from school) RIDACARDS.

Runs every 15 minutes Friday & Saturday (between 0900 & 1700), every 20 minutes on Sunday (between 0900 & 1600).

Return tickets are £6.00 Adult, £3.00 Child.  Scottish National entitlement Card holders travel free.

RIDACARDs, DAYtickets and CITYSINGLE tickets are not valid on this service.

We will use the saplings to increase our native tree planting within the zoo, with some of them being allowed to mature into trees and the others grown as coppicing material to be fed to the animal collection.

The saplings, some of which were given away at our new service 1 hybrid launch, show our commitment to decrease our environmental impact in our operating area.

Dr Steve Johnson, Environmental Manager said:

Lothian Buses are delighted to be donating these trees to Edinburgh Zoo in their centenary year. As well as being a popular destination for our passengers, the Zoo is an Edinburgh institution.

On 6 May, Service 45 will run on a public holiday timetable.

Our Waverley Bridge Travelshop will be open on these days 1000 - 1800, however Hanover Street, Shandwick Place and Jarnac Court Travelshops, Lost Property Office and Customer Services will be closed.

We are asking you to give them to us so we can recycle them to raise money for our Charity of the Year, It's Good 2 Give.

Our staff will be donating their old phones and we will also be recycling the unclaimed phones left on our buses.

So if you have a dusty old relic you can live without, please hand it into any of our Travelshops - Waverley Bridge, Hanover Street, Shandwick Place and Jarnac Court, Dalkeith.

They use the bus to get around the City, visiting friends and taking family trips. 

Jack Walker tells us about their favourite route.

Service 26

The number 26 has to be our favorite as the bus stop is straight across the road from our house and is extremely reliable and frequent.  It runs all the way from Clerwood to the beach at Seton Sands.

I use it every morning to get to and from school, to go swimming on Saturday and to go visit family.

Dad uses it to go up town. Mum and Ellie use it to go visit Nana, to go and meet friends up town and to take Ellie to her friends house at Clerwood!

We use the bus all the time for family trips and have for as long as I can remember.

Look out for the Walkers on the back of your bus.

As official transport partners of The Moonwalk Edinburgh, we can get you to the starting point and home when you have completed your walk.

In addition to our regular services 12 and 25 we will be providing a special service 50 from Edinburgh City Centre on the evening of Saturday 8 June and leaving Leith on the morning of Sunday 9 June.

Full details of extra bus services to and from Leith Links will be provided nearer the time.

Over 1,500 of you turned up to see our new buses and learn more about how they work.  We even had sunshine!

The buses are on the road now running from Clermiston to Easter Road. Why not give them a try?
