You help chose Our 'Happy to Help' award winner
The winner of our 'Happy to Help competition has been picked from our passengers nominations.
In November we asked you to nominate your bus driver for our ‘Happy to Help’ competition.
Thanks to the many passengers who took the time to contact us about their favourite driver.
Hundreds of people in Edinburgh who use public transport every day need a little extra help to get around and this competition showed us that our drivers are great at this.
Bartosz Lechowski from our Marine depot was selected as the overall winner for his polite manner and patience with passenger that need a bit more time to get on and off the bus.
George McKendrick, Operations Manager said:
For a driver who has just recently joined us in July, Bartosz has adapted very quickly to the high standards expected of our employees. He is well liked and highly regarded by his peers, managers and passengers.
David Griffiths, Chief Executive, Ecas said:
I am delighted that so many passengers took part and recognised the many drivers who provide that little bit of extra assistance and support that some of their passengers need. They set an example to us all of how to treat our fellow passengers.
It was a pleasure to present Bartosz with the trophy and to hear about the work he does.
